Power loss and smoke - Diesel Forum

Having trouble with my 04 powerstroke loosing power at the low end of a gear. I can feel it loose power it shutters a bit and when I hit the accelerator it blows a cloud of smoke, most of the time black/sometimes white but then it picks back up. I had the ERG system cleaned that seemed to help for a short time. Bought it with a hypertech inline module and also found out the cat was cut out. Not sure if its an ERG issue or what?

I had some work done about a year ago and i think they cleaned the ERG system??? The other thing i didn't mention was the "flute" noise or extra "whine" i am hearing. I read some other threads from before and it looks like i may have a problem
