OK, so here is my situation.
Puking coolant all over out of the Degas Bottle.
On my ride to work I get to 185 to 190 degrees on oil andcoolant, with neither more than 5 degrees apart.
It happens when I come off the highway and the engine rpm’sjump as it downshifts.
This has been happening for a week.
Here is what I know, it started happening bad at all temperaturesafter having a new oil cooler and injectors put it.
Before everyone starts saying it is head gaskets or EGR, it’snot.
Heads pressure tested and are fine.
EGR Delete done 60K ago and I have never had an issue untilnow.
New degas bottle, and new OEM, Misimoto and Stant capstried, everyone get coolant blown by them.
I took the overflow hose from the radiator to the degasbottle and put it in a gallon jug to see if I was getting excess coolantpumping back into the bottle.
20 minute drive, got temps to 187 for coolant and I had lessthan a ¼ cup of coolant returning to the gallon jug.
However I had blow by all over the bottle again, and yes Icapped the open hole.
Other notes, the Thermostat was changed in November, withthe Water pump. Both OEM.
Other symptoms, I was only getting heat when at highwayspeeds, but after the injectors and oil cooler heat works fine.
So here is my dilemma, somehow the bottle is gettingoverfilled by coolant pumping back into it, but is it somehow pumping from theheater return to the y hose and back up?
Other notes. Aluminum Radiator was put in in November. Youwill laugh at this but I somehow got a pin hole sized leak at the plastic tankthat only sprayed coolant while under pressure and running and the direction itsprayed was back at the water pump area. That is why the pump and thermostatwere changed.
I also have a Sinister Bypass Coolant Filter. I have turnedthe flow valves both off and on with no difference. This was added two yearsand 60K ago, and I have never had a problem until now.
I have also ran it in stock, towing and performance modes onmy TSX tuner with no difference.
