rear ride height

Hi all...I was wondering if I can lower the rear spacer blocks and lower the rear of my truck. I have noticed that the 350 has a taller spring block then the 250 . So can I lower my 350 by changing the spacer blocks and would this effect the anti sway bar setting.Thxs

Re: rear ride height

I was wondering the same thing. Probably need U bolts too. I've never lifted/ lowered a truck... would the rear end (pinion angle?) need to be adjusted. It would only be +/- 3-4" lower... A dealer mechanic told me that if a truck has had the angle of the driveshaft adjusted more than 2% (raise or lower truck) certain warranty claims would be declined. (most likely U-joints)

Re: rear ride height

I too would like to know. Most of the trailers I see running down the road are mostly running on the rear axle to get enough bed clearance. I don't understand why these 4x4 trucks are so tall since almost all are going to be used for towing, not boondocking. My horse trailers were both raised 2" at the factory and I still can't run them close to level and have sufficient bed clearance.

Re: rear ride height

You can use the blocks from a F250 and original U-bolts (since you
will be farther into the threads).

Call some 4 x 4 shops for the blocks. They sould have some (mine were free) off of lifted trucks.

You'll find your truck rides better empty but will sag when loaded.
Then you need air bags.

Re: rear ride height

I would just lift the front end if you want your truck level!
