Replaceing Hp pump?

I just replaced the HP pressure pump and EGR Cooler on a 2006 F550 with 6.0L. The owners knew that they had a coolant leak in the engine as the coolant was going out the tailpipe but they engine ran fine. They drove it for two weeks this way.
When I was disassembling it I found that the Oil looked like licorice pudding. The oil filter was collapsed and it was running on filter bypass. When the oil was drained the first time (The customer changes it every 25K) I could only get 10 Quarts out after 24 hours with the drain plug removed. The engine stalled after the repairs causing much grief, but found that the IPR had sucked up a piece of trash.
I also found out that the engine will start and run even if the Turbo is sitting on the floor and the glow plug controller is disconnected. SURPRISE. I was just trying to get oil pressure up to the injectors.
I should have remember this as, 30 years ago a fellow Marine and I accidently started a M51 pulling it forward in reverse gear and the dang thing started running backward. Lost most of the TM Manual in the tailpipe which was the new air inlet. Surprised we did not screw up the turbo that day.
Well the day ended with the engine fixed. Know they want the AC fixed. This is not bodeing well as it cyclying fast, even with a evac oil and recharge. The drier is hot on pipe in and frozen pipe out with heat from the vents. Can any one say BLEND Door and compressor, oriface tube, drier.
