Rough idle when stopped

Just recently my 05 psd has started to have a rough / jumpy idle when stopped. It does it randomly with little jumps from 750/800 rpms stopped and then all of a sudden a jump from 750/900-1000. At stop lights I am sure people think I am very impatient because of the way my truck sounds. It did start doing this recently with this last cold front we got in the Houston area the past couple of days, could that be the reason for this?

my truck is a 2005 psd. It has had three injectors replaced at 75k, hpop replaced 25k ago, heads done at 55k with the arp studs done at that time, turbo cleaned at 99k. No chip or program on it. I am running delvac 15w40 and stay on top of all my fluid and filter changes. It has 106k on it now.

Any ideas?

I was reading the other posts but everyone seems to be having an idle issue while towing or driving, my issue is more of a stopped at a red light idle issue.

Mine was doing that when the ICP sensor was bad. Get it on a good scan tool and look at your ICP and check for codes...

You might want to try to bring it to someone with a good scanner/computer so you can see what your HPOP is pushing to the injectors. just a thought...

I have had this issue with my 07 since last summer. I only had it checked a couple of times at the dealer but nothing is showing up. It is intermitent. Some have speculated the FICM is on the check out list but nothing so far.

I too have developed this symptom since the cold weather hit two weeks ago, in addition to my other symptoms. Using an AE scanner I watched the "injection control press. desired" and the "injection control press. " Both stayed right with each other the whole time. That was reving the engine in the shop and driving to town.

Good Idea. I guess I'll change those like I had planned.

I've done several sets of fuel filters since the problem started last summer with no improvement but hey, maybe it'll work for you.

Good ideas ill have that checked. Is the ICP sensor something I can replace or do I need to have a dealership do it?

:EDIT:

Also today it is running fine. The temp is in the mid 50's when I was having the issue my area of Tx was in the 20's-35"s temperature wise.

Here is an update on my rough idle issue.
My truck finally didn't start one very cold morning while I was away this week. They towed it in, boosted it to get it running and blamed the issue on the trailer I was towing ???(said the trailer draw was too much & took the voltage down under 10v so the injectors would not fire....OK)
I drove another 1500 miles over the next 3 days. I came to a stop light; it stalled & would not restart.
They towed it in and fixed it, my rough idle of 6 months is finally gone & it's running like a champ.
My dealer has tried to fix it but no codes were showing up and nothing seemed wrong on the diagonstics so I guess these codes only get thrown when it's too late, when the part had completely failed. Here are the details:
Codes P0269/P2290 Low ICP & low #3 injector contribution.
Performed Pinpoint Tests, Air Tests, found leak at high pressure fitting.
Hole in IPR screen & bad #3 Injector
Replaced #3 injector, fitting on high pressure oil pump & IPR.

Obviously the #3 injector is unique just to my situation but hopefully the balance of the information may help others who are trying to figure out their issues on their own.
