??s about lubrication on the 06

My dealer gave me a book for service and said if I go by the service requirements and have them do it they give me $500 toward a trade

Looking at the book at 15,000 miles it says to grease and lubricate the front end? among other checks!
My ? being how do you lubricate this when there are no grease fittings

just rubber boots?
dont have the book with me now but will state exactly what it says after work

Re: ??s about lubrication on the 06

OK
it says
all filters etc
inspect tires that is understandable!
then inspect and lubricate steering linkage, ball joints, suspension,,drive shafts and U joints

also says inspect and lubricate 4x4 front axle u joints

So please explain to me how you do this without grease fittings and tearing each u joint apart and repacking them?

how do you lubricate a ball joint that has no grease fittings
O by the way I have an 06 F350 4x4 with a 6.0

Re: ??s about lubrication on the 06

Have you checked to be sure there are no grease fittings on the axle joints? I mean... really checked? I haven't seen an 05 or 06 without them...

How about on the '04's? I've checked, I thought pretty thoroughly, and I didn't find any grease fittings on the axle u-joints.

I only found 4 grease fittings on the tie-rod ends.

I have an 05, and i looked for something up there to grease as well. I looked pretty good, and i saw nothing that even resembled a zerk fitting. Where are they?

Re: ??s about lubrication on the 06

All of them up to 04 come with 4 nipples from the factory - one at each TRE.... 05/06 250/350 have two.... one at each axle joint - 450/550 are nearly festooned with nipples.
