scanner to monitor engine oil and coolant ?

Anyone have any suggestions on a reasonable priced scanner that I could purchase to occassionally monitor engine oil and coolant temp ?

ISSPro (or other brand) mechanical gauges would be the best and most cost effective option. AutoTap or ELMScan/OBDLink are two electronic ones with logging capabilities that you connect to your laptop.

I agree with Kbroadnax I also have the Insight and love it. Here is a post i put up with pics of the install. Took about 15 mins to install.

Buy the Insight!!

I whole heatedly agree with Kbroadnax & Rccarps2. I have one and love it COMPLETELY. It will take longer to run the cord than anything else. I will say that you need to call out what it is if you take it to your dealer for service (and it's under warranty). I keep a copy of my receipt and the manual for it in the truck in case the dealer questions me (which they have). You will not regret buying the Insight.

Insight. Installed last week in about 15 minutes. Great piece of mind to see temps in real time rather than a needle that rarely moves.
