Should I buy a set of electric cooling fans for my 2005 F250?

I am considering buying a set of electric cooling fans for my truck. After my experience having to replace head gaskets for a second time I would like to protect my truck for getting anywhere to overheated. What do you guys recommend?

I don't know if electric fans will move the same volume of air as the stock fan. It has been discussed a few times in the IDI and 7.3 PSD forums and general agreement was stock was best.

Do you hear the fan come on? should be around 212-214* and sound like a jet plane. What kind of temps are you seeing ECT-EOT have you done a coolant flush change the egr and oil cooler when doing heads. Nothing better than stock fan if they are working right.

Yea, you will not find a fan that will move as much air as the oem. Stick with that, maybe check your fan clutch. It is electric and sometimes they do fail not allowing the fan to lock up. As asked, have you heard it come on? If you are not sure then it hasn't... They are so loud, the first time it comes on you will pull over to see what is making all of the noise...
