Single Head Gasket Replacement

70k miles. Truck started puking coolant, overheated 2x on the trip home.

Dealership only replaced one side head gasket, same head went back on.

I'm thinking this isnt normal...

Re: Single Head Gasket Replacement

I had a 1990 f250 truck in the shop with 300K+ on it with a blown pass side head gasket. Boss only wanted me to replace that side gasket and didn't want the head check or resurfaced due to all the mileage. That was a year ago and we are still running it daily. (cheap b@$t@rd)

Re: Single Head Gasket Replacement

I wonder what they found wrong with the defective gasket? I doubt its the dealer as much as Ford wont pay for unconfirmed repairs. If you paid for headstuds and a few hours labour they prolly would have done the other side.
