I need some help from you guys. Here is my situation:
I have a 2005 Ford 6.0
I installed a rebuilt Turbo on my vehicle. The rebuilt Turbo is a real dog off the line. Right at the top of first gear it finally spools up and the truck starts moving. I am running an SCT so I went back to the stock setting. Same problem. I did the KAM reset and VGT Relearn and had the same problem. I guess I felt like wasting $250 because I went out and purchased a Turbo Actuator and did the Kam Reset and VGT Relearn again. Same problem. I get plenty of Turbo Boost once kicks in it just takes a while. I am not getting any codes.
Any advice from the professionals?
Also, I have access to a Snap On Diagnostic Tool with the CAN adapter. Does anyone know what readings I should be getting form the turbo?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like the problem is elsewhere. Maybe a ebp sensor or egr sticking/slow reacting.
Is there any smoke? Anything else that is out of the ordinary? Or just slow spool.
When was the last time you changed your fuel filters? Air filter?
you may have a exhaust leak at the y pipe to the turbo weasel79 is right it's only on the 2003 and early 04 ebp is programed out of the calibration and low fuel pressure and only 2003 and early 04 need vgt relearn
Same problem mine experienced when the EBP went south. No low end boost until I got on it, then plenty. When I scanned my EBP sensor, Key On Engine Off, it was reading about 10psi higher than baro and map (they should be within .5 of each other).

Hey mark how do you scan you EBP sensor? I think I need to do this on my truck as well. How much was it to replace that sensor? What part of Colorado do you live?
