Hello, proud owner of a 2005 Harley Davidson Edition 6.0, True Blue stock with leveling kit 83,000 miles. New to the diesel world and have been reading all the good and bad info on this forum. Just took my truck to a dealership diesel mechanic who does work for "cash" and had oil change, all new fuel filters, rad flush with filters, turbo cleaned, new oil cooler, new compression fitting (no snap fitting), new exhaust gaskets and had the egr welded up per his recommendation and no cheak engine light came on

. Truck was running great when I purchased it but wanted to do some preventive maintenance. The Oaises report showed only two little recalls that were completed in 2006. Tech said that was good news. The mechanics daily driver is a 2005 f250 6.0 xlt so I felt good he knew the ins and outs.
My co-worker has a 2006 HD edition 6.0 110,000 miles and had the same guy do the same above work to his truck plus installed a new fuel pump that was bad. Two days later, his truck starts blowing heavy white smoke from the exhaust??? Coolant level, temps, no leaks OK.
