So my 2006 F250 6.0 just started smoking some yesterday. Its not a lot but im just not sure if this normal. It only seems to do it while accelerating from 1st to 2nd gear. I have no tuner, no after market mods, the truck is 100% stock. The truck has 46K miles and it hasnt had a smoking problem since ive owned the truck (2 months). I did clean the EGR valve last week. (Heres the thread>
EGR Valve Removel Question ) Could the smoking be related to that? I have no issuses with boost. The past three days i've racked about 400 highway miles, if that has any relevance.
Looking at some posts about trucks with smoking problems on this forum, most are stating its a problem with the EGR valve and/or EGR cooler. Are the symptoms that my truck is showing support the "EGR valve and/or EGR cooler problem"? I couldnt tell if it was still smoking this morning while i was going to work cause it was still dark out, but im going to see on the way home today. If so, I guess I will be making an appt at the dealship for some warrenty work. Any help on this matter would be great. Thanks!!
