Something Running after the truck is shut off

My buddy just purchased an 06 F-250 from a guy. The truck had been totaled and rebuilt. When you shut the engine off it sounds like a fuel pump or something continues to run for 20 seconds. Has anyone else ever heard of this? My 06 does not do it.

That is the old heat induction FICM calibration. It's the injectors cycling, completely normal. If he wants it to go away he will have to have the FICM calibrated a dealer. Since the truck was totalled there is a good chance the title is branded. If it's branded the warranty is void and it's on his dime.

Thanks, I don't hear that on my truck. Can a custom tune turn it off?

Naw, just get it reflashed to the newest flash. They are no longer using the buzz flash. It will cost him 1hr of shop time or just not worry about it. I would not worry about.
