Stripped HFCM Drain Plug

Well, I finally succeded in stripping the HFCM drain plug. I have 65,000 miles and a 100K ESP. Should this repair be covered under my Extended Service Policy or am I stuck foooting the bill for the parts and repairing it myself?

Thanks!

PJ

your ESP will still cost you the $100 deductible, I take it that it is still in the HFCM? you can buy one that extends outside the HFCM so that this will never happen again (you can use pliers if needed), get an extra 6 mm allen wrench, try to JB weld it inside the hole of the drain plug, use tape ect to hold it until it hardens, then after getting replacement plug, take defective one out and replace. main thing is to clean out the old plug before getting the allen wrench in there, make sure it gets in there all the way. I am not sure if the ESP will pay for this?? Good Luck.
