stumbling/bucking

As the title says, my new to me '06 F350 6.0L 4x4 cc 6spd 146,000mi. is bucking/stumbling (more of a bucking, like a gasser with bad plug wires) and no smoke at highway speeds under med. load(climbing hills, maintaining speed uphill). I can power through it. I have searched the forums and done some tests.

I cleaned and unplugged the egr for test purposes with no change.

I don't think it's the TPS because it does it with the cruise on.

I don't think it's the VGT solenoid because the boost gauge doesn't fluctuate. I assume it would do that if the turbo vanes where changing enough to cause a surge/bucking.

I did notice today it only seems to do it above 1800rpm. If I drive at 60mph/1750rpm it does not seem to do it. If I drive 65/1850 or a little more it will do it.

Is it possible it could be a cam sensor?

I have been experiencing the "buck" or "stutter" also. I have spoken to some very knowledgeable folks on this and other sites. I have narrowed mine down to the most likely cause: Injector(s) or stiction of same. I have about 800 miles on my most recent oil change, I put some Hot Shots Secret into the oil and it seems to slowly be making a difference. I recently had my FICM reconditioned by swamps, I have cleaned EBP sensor & tube, EGR is deleted w/solid up=pipe, IATII has been cleaned, MAP tube is clean and no obstruction. The only other thing I wonder about is the ICP. I want to be clear, I'm not 100% on the HSS just yet, after 800 miles it seems to be helping, I think.

On the 06 it is on the drivers side of the block just below the level of the valve cover and closer to the "front" of the block, about a third of the way. It is located on a small tube that comes out of the exhaust manifold you should be able to see the wires leading to the sensor and the EBP tube more readily if you take the air intake and elbow off going to the turbo.

I have the manual trans. Is yours going away because tow mode down shifts and puts you above 2000rpms? Or just the tow mode that helps. Mine seems to go away after 2000rpm.

I have a f-250 superduty for a service truck. The first time it did that to me I almost turned around and went back to the shop. I pushed it through and it made it just fine. Felt almost like the lockup clutch was kicking in and out.
I am buying a 2005 f550 truck. Hope it doesn't have these problems. I'll keep watching and maybe find the answer to my service truck.

Hot Shot Secret is an oil additive that claims to clean the oil side of your injectors and anywhere the oil travels. It is supposed to get rid of stiction or the burnt oil residue that can gum up your injectors. At least that is how I understand it. I have it in my engine also because mine was getting very hard to start, but I ended up taking it in and it had codes for all 8 injectors ended up putting in a new FICM, works like new $1100.00 later. I am leaving the HSS in to clean whatever it cleans can't hurt

seems to occur between 1300-1600 rpms @ 50-60 MPH, at least thats when it is most noticeable w/the Auto trans. I hope that some of the Ford techs who monitor this site will chime in at some point as well.
