Super hard down shift in tow haul

My 06 has 43k + and is a dedicated tow vehicle for my fifth wheel. GCW is 20k. When towing in tow haul it will down shift so hard you think you have been hit. I know about disconnecting the battery's for a short time to let the computer reboot, or what ever the correct term is.

I have done this three times and today makes four. Does anyone know why it keeps having to be reset. 43k,that's like every 10k miles. Is there a new program that is needed ? The truck is factory stock and no new down load's to the computer.

There may be a new program that would solve that. Check with your dealer.
