Tire rotation ?

I just ordered an 06/6.0 dually with the white letter tires. This will be my first dually. The truck comes with seven tires, four with the white letters. What is the tire rotation pattern ? Do you have to run with the black walls on the outside at sometime ?

Don't know for sure on the '06's but in my '03 manual, it shows rotating tires side to side, with the rears done as a pair. Doing it that way you will never have the blackwalls to the outside. Personally, I have never seen the need to rotate the rears at all. The fronts........ now that's a whole other story. I am replacing my fronts for the second time. I sincerely hope that with the coil spring front ends on the '05 and up, the poor front tire wear has been cured for ya.

Re: Tire rotation ?

clockwise on the pass side and the other way on your side? JK

I have had best luck moving the rear straight forward and crossing the fronts when putting them on the back, every 5k-7500 miles depending on driving habits. Either way, just set a pattern and stick with it. Don't worry about cross rotating them, and the direction of travel unless you are running directional tires which should have an arrow on the side.
