Torqshift question

...Are there any 5r110 guru's here that could honestly tell me if a 2WD torqshift could be used in a 4 WD application? What are ALL the differences & what is involved?
Reason I ask, I have a great opportunity at a great price to pickup a used torqshift but it is a 2WD & my truck is a 4WD

Any info greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Torqshift question

My 2wd torqueshift was converted to work in a 4wd application. Salem-Kroger in Red Bluff, CA did the work (Sportsmobile or Quadvan and others do similar) to convert my van to 4wd. I believe they had an adaptor made to fit the transfer case and bolted it on. There may be a longer input shaft for the transfer case or maybe not. They did not open or remove the transmission for the change to 4wd.

Contact Craig at www.salemkroger.com for more information.

...So thats it? No other difference? In otherwords, the OUTPUT shaft can be swapped one for the other, as well as the appropriate housing?
...If I buy the 2wd 5r110 I can just pull the output shaft & housing & use the ones from my 4x4 torqshift? Thats the only difference?

Thanks for your response!!!
