Tow/Haul Light Flashing

Lastnight on my way home from work, my tow/haul light started flashing on and off. I pulled over before I went through the gate leaving base and turned my truck off for a min, then started it back up and it was gone. What happened there? What would fix it?

The flashing light means your tranny saw something it didn't like. I may be something simple or it may be the forebearer of bad news. Without knowing anymore about it, there is really no way to tell from here. But either way, since the light was flashing, chances are there is a code set for it... I would suggest getting a code reader and see what it says.

Re: Tow/Haul Light Flashing

I had the same problem it ended up being the trans temp sensor which is not too big of a deal but trans labor is rediculous now a days ended up being about $450.

Re: Tow/Haul Light Flashing

For what it is worth when my "04" did the same thing, took it to the dealer, resulted in the replacement of a "Shift Soliniod", all under warranty, for $50.00.
