Tow/ Haul Problem

I was pulling my camper the other day about 65 mph on flat ground and the tow/haul mode just disengaged out of no where. I stopped, checked everything out and seemed to be no problems. I didnt have very far to go so it didnt act up again. Any ideas? Thanks, AJ
Ps. Banks six gun was not on and the camper weighs about 9000lbs.

Re: Tow/ Haul Problem

You might have a wire wearing through in the steering column. The wires tend to wear and break where they enter the shifter handle. Remove the plastic cover on the column by removing the screws from underneath. Chances are you'll find a damaged wire that shorts out once in a while.

Re: Tow/ Haul Problem

Thanks for the replies. Honestly, I usually never run the six gun. I have never had any power issues pulling that camper. During normal driving I found myself getting on it too much so I just keep it off. With me, I found I get way better fuel milage with it off. Thanks again. AJ
