Exclamation TransLine Fitting Tech Please !

03 4wd 6.0 June build date.

I have all my new trans cooler lines to replace the rotted ones.
Installation is going ok i guess........

BUT , on the 2 large long steel lines part # 3C3Z*7R81*CB Tube Assy ,, there is no fittings that screw into the little aux trans fluid filter body. These are the large long steel lines that go from the trans , to the aux filter base .
I have never encountered a fitting that looks like this ,, so i figure i need to pull the old ones off the old lines and re use.
They won't come off.

Is this the right tube assy , OR do i need to buy 2 new oem fittings that screw into the filter base , and are these space age looking fittings a one time deal ?
Less words the new pipes have no fittings and i do not know if i have to get fittings or somehow re use the old ones

Allittle , lost .
Tech help needed on what i need to do please.

I have a pic , but need to put on photobucket to put it on here.
thanks 24hrsparkey

They are a "quick disconnect" fitting. You will need the disconnect tool to remove lines from fittings. They are re-usable. The fitting is similar to a spring lock coupling on an a/c line.

Thank you sir ,, i did not realise thats what they were ( i've only seen fuel lines with quick disconect fittings , then again i'm just a backyard mechanic ! ).
I will try to locate the tool .

Then i get to try to shoe horn the long lines up into place. I tried to use the old ones as a test to see if it was possible to get'em in there . I tried a bunch of angles and cussing ,, but i admit it , i cut the old ones out after trying to remove them in one peice.

Anyway thank you for the info and timely response !

Unable too find the proper trans quick disconnect fitting tool , but was able to jimmy some thin hard plastic into the fitting , and they came off ok. ( i went to 2 auto stores and they only had a/c and fuel line special tools , they are too fat , no workie )

All the front lines installed ok , one was a bugger to get at , the one on the cooler near the rad .
I DID have to cut the long steel lines that go fron the aux filter to the trans ....... tried a Buch of angles and ways , no go . I cried as i cut them , nearly $95 and here i was cutting them . I did not want to , but had to.
Tommorow , tighten a few things , check over everything , then start up and check for any leaks .
This 03 is the rusty-est truck i've been underneith for QUITE some time....... although the body and under body are in good shape .
I wish i could say the same for :
oil pan + some oil pan bolts are un recognisable , real bad .
trans pan
power stering cooler lines ( very bad , and will spray soon )
every steel line or tube
engine block, expantion plugs
main ground connection
starter big connection
front drive shaft
rear dif cover
all these items are very very rusty for an 03 , in my oppinion.
This would not be "the" pick up to keep forever ,, i hate to say that because overall i really like the truck .
