Transmission Flush ???

I just had my 04 F-250 serviced for the transmission recall at 12,400 miles. It shows on the service record that the transmission was filled with new fluid. Do yall think I should still have the transmission serviced at 30,000 or wait till 42,000.

Thanks
Steve

Re: Transmission Flush ???

I would wait until you get 30,000 on the new oil. That will keep you on schedule.

Re: Transmission Flush ???

I agree with DaveBen but I would change the external filter also. The dealership probably didn't change it unless it was on your service report. When my motor was torn down to fix bed plate leak, they had to replace oil but did not replace oil filter. I checked when I returned home, filter had a Wix, which I use, instead of Motorcraft, so I changed my oil filter.
