Info on truck: Purchased new in Nov., 04', no real problems since, sched. maint. by the book every 5000 miles. Stock truck, except for exhaust and guages.
Had my KTM in the back yesterday, going to do some dirtbike riding up above Oakhurst. Single lane each way, and came upon an uphill passing lane. Swung out, truck downshifted, and pulled 28-30 psi of boost like it has since it was new. Let off throttle after getting by, truck shifts, boost goes to 20-25 psi or so. I then notice my boost guage swinging between 25 and 20 psi. I turn down the stereo

, and notice that when the boost falls off, the turbo flutters, or barks. Happened about three or four times ascending the grade. ONLY happens between 20 and 25 psi, and not every time. Truck is not overboosting(thinking not stuck vanes, truck boosts 28-30 since new at WOT), and will not happen between 0-20 psi. No black/white smoke of any kind.
Did search on this great site, and found info on relationship of boost pressure fall-off and dirty/clogged EGR valve. Will start there. Also info on EBP sensor, although I am almost positive my last required flash took this parameter out of the equation. Possible VGT solenoid issue?
Of course, truck is 21 days out of warranty.

Really hope is isn't a corroded/stuck turbo, although I think it isn't. Any opinions/comments on where to start is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike
