I had the blue hose blow off and rip about 6 mos ago. I go and get a replacement hose - 5C3Z-6C640 AA. The replacement hose is a little shorter than the original, but the ford parts guy swears it is the correct Hose. I now have read that there is a short equal length elbow hose and a longer unequal elbow hose with the part # 5C3Z 6C640 BA. Anyone know if this is so? The replacement hose is blowing off and I've followed all the recommendations.
I have a 2003 with the 6.0L.

My truck blew that blue hose 4 times for the original buyer and 2 for me since I bought it 2 weeks ago with 34k on it. All this is in the Oasis report. The last time was on the interstate in 95 degrees. I got it put back together and back to dealer, but lost three days of vacation. The dealer told me they replaced the EBP sensor. I think they also reflashed, but I haven't seen the paperwork since they are leaving it open. The truck build date is 3/27/04. I thought that the EBP sensor problem was for surging, turbo burp, etc., but they said that it could also cause boost problems. I worked it out real hard with the 5ver hitched up and it ran cool and strong with no issues in the mountains. Not sure yet what all they did, but I think I can go camping again. Love this truck, hope it loves me back.

I've blown the upper hose off pobally ten times, once is blows off you will need a new hose. Well mine is still under warrenty but I bought the hose my self for $80.00, it lasted for one month!
I talked to my dealer and they are saying I need a new turbo, this will be the fifth one.
When I taked to the Service mgr, he got the Ford regional Field Engineer in there the next day. They both worked on the truck that afternoon. That's how they came up with the EBP sensor. I'm not saying it's fixed yet, and neither are they, but I did everything that blew it off the first two times and then some. I think there's also a area Ford Rep that you can call if your dealer gives you the runaround. That's a lot of turbos.

I visited the friendly folks at the local IH dealership tonight and they hooked me up with a turbo hose that was the same diamater as the blue one on my truck, same angle and all. I trimmed about an inch off of each end and installed it on the truck. $23.20 out the door. No way I was paying $75.00 for one at my local FMC dealership. Ran the hell out of the truck tonight and no problems. If anyone wants the PN let me know.
