call any dealer and buy an extended warranty. You already have a 5yr/100k with the truck.

Yes. It's a 7 yr 200K mile. As long as you're under the initial 5yr/100K warranty.

The Dealer will Tryt to overcharge you

The dealer cost is only $1270 and the suggested retail price is $2070.

My dealer sold the warranty to me for $1370: Apace-Gjovilk Ford in Sandwich, IL at 815 786 3333 ask for the Finance Manager. He will sell it to you over the phone and will fax the application to you for signature. They also have a no onterewst 5 mom, 7 month or 11 month plan with a $99 admin fee.

I got mine from my dealer for $1370: Apache-Gjovil Ford, Sandwich IL at 815 786 333 ask for the finance manager. You can also get a no-interest payment plan for 5, 7 or 11 months with a $99 admin fee. He will fax the application to you and you can choose payment method (pay over the phone with a CC if you want)

Is it the same on an 06?

5yr 100k? I'm considering a 2006 6.0 with 23k on the odometer. Is the warranty the same on the 06's?

I've been calling around to different dealers to see if I could buy an extended warranty for my 03.I was mainly just looking for one for the engine. But because I'm one month over my 5yr/100k mile warranty w/ only 55k miles they won't even give me the time of day.Only one dealer would still sell me a plan for $2255.That plan was for 4yrs/48k, engine only.

Is that the Ford warranty that they are offering? Can you tell me what all is offered?

I'm not sure about BUDMAN's but the one I looked into was a Ford plan not an aftermarket one.

A little confused...

So the truck I'm considering is a 2006 F250 CC SRW 4x4 Lariat w/21k on the odometer.

My question(s) are:
1. New it came with 3/36 bumper to bumper?
2. After 3/36 there is a 5/100k on engine/tranny? Basically I'll have 2 yrs and/or 64k before it runs out?

Craig

The trans is covered under the 3/36. The 5/100 is engine only... but, you need to read the warranty manual that came with the truck to see what is and isn't covered.... The HFCM IS covered under the diesel engine warranty.... the alternator ISN'T.... so, we can see that being bolted to the engine and not being bolted to the engine doesn't make a difference.

Now that I'm past my extended bumper, my rule of thumb is anything that makes it/needs to be there to make it a diesel plus internally lubed parts is covered. If a gas motor has one then it's not.
ie: water pump---No. Gas engines have one.
HFCM/FICM---Yes. Gas engines don't have'em.
pulleys/idlers/radiators/ A/C---No.....
The exceptions I ponder as they come up.
