Water pump pulley

I just had to replace the pulley on the water pump of my 2003, F250, 6.0. The part that bolts on broke away from the rest of the pulley. Has anyone else had this happen to them??

Re: Water pump pulley

Yes, it happens... There is an updated part for it if I remember correctly.

Re: Water pump pulley

Replace it with the '05-up part, it's a direct swap.

Re: Water pump pulley

The early-production '03s are the only ones that *might* encounter this. There was a change mid-production year that added a reinforcing plate, and then in '05 the thicker, flanged pulley was put into production across the board to address slippage with the fan engaged on the 4.30:1 geared Tow Boss option group.
