I have no idea why Ford would design something like that. It appeared as if the brass plug oxidized some and simply seized with the aluminum. The same argument can be made for the black oil dipstick [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Correct about the dipstick also! I may have an early build truck, but with all the little problems I wouldn't give her away. Just having trouble believing things like the brass plug design/ black dipstick end/ faulty injectors/ etc. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

Ford did not design the HFCM. It was designed by Recor, the big rig fuel filter people. They should have known where it was going. Talk about a lack of communication. Ordered new steel plug called one adaptor today $9.56. Will be in tomarrow a stealer!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your info and part number on this.
