Re: What does it mean when the "wrench" lights up on the dash?

Take a look in your very complete owners manual. I do not know what the "wrench" symbol means but am sure the manual covers it.

Re: What does it mean when the "wrench" lights up on the dash?

the owners manual says something to the effect of electronic throttle control, meaning the truck goes into "limp mode". Why or what would make it go into "limp mode"?

Re: What does it mean when the "wrench" lights up on the dash?

Same as the "Check Engine" light in cars. Something emissions related (typically) is wrong and requires service.

Re: What does it mean when the "wrench" lights up on the dash?

I dont know what cause it but my "wrech" electric throttle control light came on as well. I took in to the dealer. The fixed and the told me that it came since it had a computer setting from the day it was built that needed to be updated. I guess some thing change from 3/23 when the truck was built to 8/4 when it was checked again. I has not been on since.
