Re: GOLD ANTIFREEZE

Antifreeze is "sweet" to the tongue and can attract small children and critters.... ingesting it can be fatal.

In some areas, the addition of bittering agents is required by law to make the taste unattractive. Antifreeze sold in these area MUST have the bittering agents... in all other areas, the antifreeze *may* contain bittering agents.

Ozhoo & Grampy_Jim: Thanks very very much!

Now, what makes Gold Antifreeze any better/different than Green?

Gotta be corrosion inhibitors....yes?

Re: GOLD ANTIFREEZE

I'm assuming it is inhibitors, since you no longer have to add FW-15 to the coolant like the green.

Yes the inhibitors are different. The reason you don't add any sca is because they added it for you. The OAT inhibitors make it deplete slower. I think the coolant condition should be monitored just like the conventional stuff. I think the condition of the coolant is going to degrade severly if ignored for 100,000 miles.
