Where to buy a FICM for a 2005 6.0L?

Any recommendations? Dealer wants $900. I was looking for a used one with a warranty if anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks!

You can try Ebay but you are rolling the dice. Any FICM that came on the vehicle originally that has the heat induction program WILL fail during it's service life. That means there are alot of faulty ones out there. A new FICM is more robust and is designed to handle the extra amperage generated by the heat induction "flash". Basically, if you get a new one there is a very good chance you will never have to replace it again. If you get a used one and install it yourself the PCM and TCM calibrations on your truck will not match the FICM calibration of the used FICM and the truck will not run very well. A trip to the dealer would update all modules so they are in sync. If you buy a new one and install it yourself the truck will not start and will require a PMI (programmable module installation) done to install a program on the FICM, PCM, and TCM.

There is a company in Davie, florida that just does car computers. You buy it off ebay (search ficm), send them your current one and they program the new (reman) one to match it and send it to you. They keep the old one as a core. I think it was something like $495 plus $45 shipping 2day air. I haven't used them but book marked it just incase i need one. Are you out of the engine warranty?
