I took the wifes X into the dealer yesterday for the recall that involves the reflash and EGR replacement. I want to verify that they actually touched EGR. They claim they did recall/test drive. Now engine has the short hum when shut off that is supposed to be the injectors defueling? I don't mean to sound like a doubting Thomas, but the engine bay is dusty and I see NO evidence of any work under the hood.

it is right behind the CAC tube, most likely on your wifes 03 X is the a metal tube, also its in between this tube and the oil filter.
There also is a thread about the updated flash and the injectors running after the vehicle is shut off for a few seconds

Thanks so much. Time to take a look see.
This is the recall that was done. # 06E17. I was under the assumption that the EGR valve was getting replaced. The recall just reprograms the computer.
