Where is my EGR valve located?

Need to clean my EGR valve but I'm not too sure where it is located on the 6.0 powerstroke!!? I've done several EGR/intake manifold cleanings on my 1.9 TDI engine and think it's time to do the truck. Anyone help me out?

Re: Where is my EGR valve located?

Ok, so now I have located the EGR valve. I tried to remove it this afternoon with no luck. Is there a trick to getting that thing out? It looked pretty straight forward but that puppy wouldn't budge. Any advice? Could it be some gunked up that it doesnt want to come out easily?

Re: Where is my EGR valve located?

Rotate the valve about 90 and place a rolling head prybar under each of the little "dog ears" that the bolts go through. Push the prybars apart and the valve should pop straight up.....
