6.0L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 2003-Up Super-Duties and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 6.0L Power Stroke engine.

White Smoke & Injector Low Circuit Voltage

my nephew has a 2004 f350 6.0 Its blowing white smoke, intermittent missing. we did a buzz test , we could not hear a buzz, but only a click on all 8 injectors, this is the only codes that came up. we used autoengineuity to test this. Any ideas?
P0261 - injector 1 circuit low
P0264 - injector 2 circuit low
P0267 - injector 3 circuit low
P0270 - injector 4 circuit low
P0273 - injector 5 circuit low
P0276 - injector 6 circuit low
P0279 - injector 7 circuit low
P0282 - injector 8 circuit low

The FICM is shot. He will need a new one.

You can occasionally find an FICM for sale on ebay or the classifieds on sites like this. Otherwise, it is a Ford or IH part.

Unless he gets real lucky and finds one with the same flash level, it will need programmed. If he buys a new one, it will have to be programmed.
