Who Makes The Fuel Filter

Does Racor also make the Fuel Filter for Motorcraft? Reason I ask is Shop Diesel.com have the Motorcraft for $54.00 and the Racor for $35.00 Jay

I don't know if Racor makes the filters, but I can tell you for certain they are the exact same filters. I got a look at them side by side the other day and they are identical. Same for the Racor oil filters. I ordered one of each from Shop Diesel and will keep buying them there as long as they continue to have those kind of prices. Re: Who Makes The Fuel Filter

I also purchase my Fuel & Oil filters from ShopDiesel and use the Racor brand.

I made the mistake of ordering some wannabee filters from Korea!

The first one I installed had a felt washer on the bottom and it dissapeared!

I threw the other two in the trash!

Dont skimp on Filter Quality...

They are made by Racor. Ford, International and Racor have a longstanding relationship. Also, the DFCM on the 6.0's was a joint technology project started by all three back in late '97 or early '98 and is also built by Racor.

Re: Who Makes The Fuel Filter

I asked that question to Wix directly; that rep told me that Purolator makes Motorcraft filters for Ford and Wix makes Motorcraft filters for the aftermarket.

This has been discussed on this site before, and what Wix told me sure ruffled some feathers.
