Thanks for the reply. Did any of the 99.5's have the badge on the front fenders or was it only placed on the doors? I am looking at buying a truck and only have a couple pics to work off of and the seller is to inexperienced to find the sticker in the door to tell the manufacture date. Thanks again.
The cosmetic stuff varied around the supposed cutoff date of 12/7/98 for the early trucks.
Maybe the guy can snap a photo of the door sticker for you to read.
Oh, you said he couldn't find the door sticker. Can he find the hood latch? If so have him snap a photo of the turbo outlet and the intercooler tube connections at the wye. That assumes he can operate a digital camera and send an e-mail.
From what I can tell, it's an early 99. I'm not seeing the intake air heater on the left side branch of the turbo outlet wye (it would be right next to the black solenoid valve with the wires going to it.) Not seeing the extra relay next to the GPR either.
