2000 7.3 injectors

Just did a motor swap with a 95 7.3 i did not change injectors but i haent ran it yet either just curious as to what the out come would be if i ran the 95 injectors with the 2000 pump?

The HPOP wouldn't be the issue, but the PCM programming. The difference between 95 injectors and 2000 injectors is that the earlier ones are single shot while the 99 and later are split shots. That means that injector timing will be too advanced with 95's in a 2000 truck unless the programming is changed to adjust for the single shots.

Converselly, If you were to put split shot injectors in a 94-97 powerstroke (except maybe in a CA truck that would already have splits), the timing would be retarded and the truck wouldn't have the power that it would with correct programming.

will the ecm from the 95 work in the 2000? if not where can i get the parameters changed?

Nope you need a chip! if your running splits on the '95, if you try running single '95's on the SD Pcm same problem plus a big HP lose.
