7.3 cylinder number order.

does anyone know where i can find the cylinder order for the 7.3 turbo diesel. got 2,5,7,8 injectors coming up in my scanner, wanna mark them for when i get them serviced next week. any help thanks.

The drivers side is from front to back #2, #4, #6 , #8

The passenger side if front to back #1, #3, #5, #7


What codes are you getting?

hey thanks deputydog, well my friend was runnin the scanner at the time but i did see where those injectors were coming up as the problem. i just got the truck runnin from a low oil no start problem and we were checking pressures and he scrolled the scanner and picked up these inj.'s. wanna mark them for when i get them tested. btw.. this is the order for 2000 7.3 powerstroke? thanks again deputy.

This is the order for any 7.3 powerstroke ..

Its unlikely all those injectors are bad (but certainly possible too). UVC harness could be an issue too, just something else to check out. Gimme a shout if it turns out to be injectors.

got injectors out and sent off, hope to get them back by wednesday. thinkin about changin the glow plugs as well. they look stock. let cha know about the inj's deputydog, thanks.

Ya sounds good.. Just make sure the one that has "LL" on the top of it goes back into #8 hole ..

I would change out my glow plugs too, they are cheap and you generally have to remove them anyway to purge the oil out of the cylinders .. Just my .02 !
