7.3 power stroke stalls when cold

I have a 2000 f350 that is now stalling when cold. Changed the fuel filter and air filter (it was over due). Also found the Glow Plug Relay was cracked so replaced that.
Symptom is when below operating temp on dash it will stall after driving a block or two then not be able to idle. after a few tries to get it started again, you have to hold the pedal down some till it calms down. withing 10 minutes it returns to normal operation but can stall again until it completely warmed up.

Any thoughts?

Re: 7.3 power stroke stalls when cold

3/4 of a gallon container, it was on a sloap so less than that, just to play it safe I put in enough to cover the stick on non level ground
