I just did the swap last week on my early 99 F350. It's an easy swap, at least on mine, it's a six speed. I've read that there may be a slight issue with clearance on the cooler lines for the automatics but apparently it's not a big deal. I've seen maybe a 50 degree egt decrease when getting on it. The most notable drop will be when towing, at least that's what I've been told, haven't towed with it yet. You'll need to purchase two new intercooler hoses. I put the links below. Be sure to measure the outlet on your intercooler. One side is 3 inches and the other may be either 3.25 inches or 3.5 inches depending on what year intercooler you have. You will not need to cut them to lenght. The eight inch hose will fit and give you plenty of extra for a tight seal. My 7.3 spring clamps worked but it was a tight fit.

Intercooler to tube connection transition hose 3" x 3.25" x 8"

6.0L intercooler works great with stock injectors. If you plan on upgrading to larger sticks, then it's time to consider something bigger than the 6.0L IC.
