A year ago when this happend on my truck, I thought it might have been the CPS, but noticed that the engine would cut out when I would hit a bump in the road or hard right turns. It turned out to be an exposed wire on the wire harness that was shorting out. I found it on the main driver side valve cover wire harness near the bracket for the air intake tube. Wasn't easy to find, but a simple splice job fixed it right up.
Hope this help you.
