99 F-550 Replaced the injector o-rings. Now I have no power and a lot of white smoke

99 F-550 I just replaced the injector o rings on my 7.3 diesel. Now the engine will start but when you try to drive it you have no power and a lot of white smoke. I drained the fuel tank down and put new fuel in the tank. The old fuel had a lot of oil in it. I changed the fuel filter. I am getting plenty of fuel to the filter housing. It is blowing a lot of raw fuel in the exhaust. These injectors were replaced about 500 miles ago and the o rings were damaged during install is why I replaced them. The check engine light is not on. Let me know what to check next. I am out of ideas.

If you JUST replaced the o-rings, you need to run it hard for a good 20 miles or more to get the air out of the fuel and oil galleys.

I ran it for about 20 miles. It will only go about 25 to 30 mph. It has sat and idled for about 2 hours since the o rings were replaced.

Are you sure everything got seated ok? Didn't lose any copper washers? Any way to scan the truck and find out if you are building high pressure oil? Like Tom said, it needs to be driven hard to get the air out - idling won't do it.

Do '99's have problems with the o-rings like the OBS trucks had? I replaced mine in the '96 that I wrecked but figured the problem had been resolved. Did they get replaced for some other reason?
