AutoEnginuity Questions

I am considering buying AE. From looking at the website, it looks as though I'll be able to perform specific system self tests, for example the PAM self test for the parking assist warning system, and retreive the necessary codes for repair. Can someone with AE verify this?

Also, do you need to have the cd in the laptop to use AE, or can you install it completely on your hard drive?

Thanks, Brian

You can install it and leave the CD at home. You only need the laptop and the USB to OBDII port cable.
I don't know about the PAM test, but it will do the Buzz test, CCT, KOEO, KOER. It will program PATS keys, and pull codes for ANY system. (ABS, And Air bags)

I LOVE it!

Thanks Jim, I have a netbook with no cd drive, I want to install it on that for travel. I am assuming you are allowed to install it on more than one of your own machines.

It will perform the diagnostis on the PAM. It will show each sensor and the exact distance it is measuring. I have played with it on this system and it works good. It will pull all codes as long as you buy the Ford enhanced bundle!!!! I checked around when buying mine and I got is from Riffraff Diesel Performance Parts Try giving him a call "the number is on the bottom of the site" he had the best deal out there!! And shipped quick, he is also knowledgable on the AE.

Yes, the newer versions can be installded on as many machines as you want.
The access code is to the USB hardware. IT is what is controlled by their software. (When you upgrade to the newer versions, if you have had it for over a year, you will need to pay 50.00 to re activate it.) SHOULD you decide you don't want to pay that right now,, reinstall the older version you had, and it will still work.
I would stay away from ANY BUSINESS with the name "RIFF RAFF" in their title! (Never heard of them,, so can't say I don't like them,, but I have been on these sites for a very long time, so I PERSONALLY would go with an established vendor on them,, )
Dennis at ITP is where I would purchase it from,,, (Even if it's 20.00 more,,, he has PROVEN to be a great vendor on many of the popular diesel forums)

Riff Raff was suggested to me by members of my local PSD site. Many guys have had good results from them and I take that as a reason to spread the wealth of who I buy from. I have bought from ITP also and they also have good service.
