Broke fuel line quick connect. Ford says 5 different parts

I posted before saying that the fuel lines were seized in the quick connects. I finally got the first one out, however on the feed line I accidentally squeezed it to right with the pliers I was holding it with. Now it won't connect to the new fuel lines.

Ford says there are 5 different part numbers for that line for my truck, and I need to give them the tag off the line. The only problem is that I can't get back to the truck until friday afternoon, and I would like to order the part ASAP since ford says theres a 5 day delivery and it only comes from detroit.

Has anyone else replaced these lines, is there an aftermarket part or kit I could use instead?

It is the feed line that hooks up to the metal lines going to the fuel bowl. It goes back to the fuel tank I'm assuming.

The quick disconnects suck (air if it's the suction side behind the fuel pump) and you might as well eliminate them. Many pages in the archive on fuel system mods...

If it's the return line, just cut out the QD fitting and use a piece of fuel hose with two hose clamps on each end. I might be a little reluctant to do that on the pressure side of the pump (between the pump and the engine) though, cause it runs at 50-60 psi.

If the female end is toward the engine you could probably cut that off and do the hose thing, just working the hose over the hump on the male end for a temporary fix, even on the pressure line.

Sorry can't help with the fuel line part #.

You might try International, but don't know if they use the same fuel line setup.

Hey if you are still in need of part #'s I have an exploded view with part #'s from Ford I can fax to you. I have the drawings from the tank to the lift pump/fuel bowl. I just did the lines in mine yesterday and had the same rust problem you did. email me at
