clutch help

A friend of mine is converting his 99 automatic to a six speed. He has the tranny, pedals ect. He needs a new clutch though. He has an original 1 piece flywheel and he wants to buy the most economical clutch possible to complete the conversion. Who makes a cheap replacement clutch?

Re: clutch help

Although not a sponsor, I purchased a LUK here once and had good service from them and good life from the clutch (150k)
Clutch City Online
I see that PartsAmerica.com has clutch kits as low as $300, but personally I would go with the LUK and I see that NAPA has clutch kits for $404. Don't think you will find much cheaper than these.

I have a stock VALEO purchased from Ford (has the updated spring holders) for an emergency road repair that has <10,000 miles on it that I later replaced with my current South Bend Con O I would sell you for $200 plus shipping (about $50). Not pushing it, just that it is in garage and I don't need it and if my current SBC goes out I would replace it with another SBC.
