Re: Clutch master cylinder pushrod clip fix?

Go to the nearest car quest and buy a new master cylinder. That's the only way I found.

Wait for toyota to release their Diesel, then trade your Ford. The Toyota wont have these kind of design problems.....betcha.

Re: Clutch master cylinder pushrod clip fix?

Try removing the Spring on the clutch pedal and drive without it, or Take some wire and tie the clutch pedal back under the dash to limit the return SPIKE481

Re: Clutch master cylinder pushrod clip fix?

hers the best solution. if you go & buy a reman. clutch slave cyl. take it off & if you have a vice then put it in the vise & hold the rod outward while taking a very small screwdriver & release the 3 small clips inside the piston bore & it will pull apart. that if the hole in the rod where it attaches to the pedal isn't worn bad. you know you can get the whole kit w/ everything attached except the rod where you don't have to bother w/ bleeding it.its not that bad releasing the rod, just have to fight it a little. tilt the rod sideways while releasing them one at a time while you roll it around till it releases.
