I need a new rig as I sold my 96' last weekend and I have a new addition to the family arriving anytime. I have been searching high and low for a good used truck that looks like it has't been overworked and I can afford? I came across these two on ebay and wanted to see what you think about them and your opinion on what they are worth. One is here in Houston and I plan to go look at this week.
Ebay item number's

Ok,, well one is a 6.0 and the other is a 7.3,, PERSONALLY, I would deal with the 7.3. A used 6.0 with only 22k on it was gotten rid of for some reason, and the 6.0s have had some issues. NOT TRYING to stir up a hornets nest, some of the newer truck owners are THRILLED with theirs,, some were disgusted.... BEFORE I bought that one I would get a history run on it,, have these guys do it for you, it may take a couple days to get the result but very neat system! www.flatratetech.com Log in and have them run the VIN..
Go into the messge forum link,,then scroll down to the "Oasis" forum link,, post the question there.

I am a 7.3 driver and would say go for the 7.3 although there are no guarantees per say. There where a lot of issues with PCM updates, variable turbo, EGR, head gaskets and oil leaks on the earlier 6.0. Not that the 7.3 was perfect by a long shot. Crapy fuel system, injector issues, UVC wire harness and last but not least, Piston Cooling Jets Oh and don't forget the 4R100 tranny, might last another 10 miles or 300K towing 20,000# everyday and never had the fluid changed
