Coolant eye & filter instructions

Getting ready to do my water pump, change coolant and put in a filter.
I have a coolant eye that I bought from Bob R a ways back. Which direction should the arrow point when you install. I assmume it should point the way the water flows. Is that from the back of the engine to the front or vice versa?
Also my coolant filter instructions are not that clear. Is there some posted somewhere in the archives? I couldn't locate.
Thanks for any help.
Notice how I didn't mention anything about what type of coolant to use.

There are quite a few options on installing coolant filters and you might look thru the following threads for more information ....

Re: Coolant eye & filter instructions

Installation is pretty straight forward, you simply remove the plug in the water pump and install the barbed fitting included in the kit. Find a mounting location for the filter housing. Look at my pics for a great location, many also use the side of the air box. Connect a line from water pump to housing intake then cut the line going into the de gas bottle and install the supplied T then connect your return line from the housing to the T fitting. Install filter and you are done. I hope this helps.
