Bought a core engine for rebuild, and was tearing it down. 2000 with froged rods. After pulling the pan and looking at the crank for bad bearings and the crank looks like it was hot. It has a blue look to it but the color is on all of the journals. Is it just a heat treat process like carborizing or induction hardening. Any ideas. R.K
