My cruise control is not working the recall has already been done . I think the clutch safey switch is the problem cause the guy i got the truck from broke it off the rod the switch still works but you have to use your hand does any one know what wires on the plug controls the cruise? Also i have noticed the master cylinder is leaking in the cab? Possible cause?

if the master cyl is leaking fluid in the cab its usually from the piston...leaks out the back and down the pushrod into the cab.....time for a new one

put it in neutral. can you start the truck without pushing down on the peddle? the reason I ask is both cluch safety swith and brake light swithch can keep it from working. Dave

Putting a 6speed in neutral won't make a bit of difference for starting. There is no provision within the ZF to determine anything but reverse. If your clutch switch is off the pedal then that's what needs the attention. Unfortunately I don't know what wires do what. I do know that the switch itself is fairly simple. You may just take it apart and see what works.

You can move the switch my hand and it wont start slide it the other way and it will start. The reason i ask what wires is because i have heard the part of the switch can fail but the part that controls the starting will work fine

There are two separate switch circuits in the CPPS. One for starting closes when the pedal is pushed nearly to the floor, and the one for cruise disengagement closes (or opens) near the top of pedal travel. There are 6 terminals on the switch but only 4 of them are used. Unfortunately I don't remember which pair is which. They should be directly across from each other for each switch, however.

More info - The safety switch is the pair of terminals in the middle (numbered 1 and 2). Wire colors are white/pink on the hot side and dark blue/orange on the switched side. Cruise disengage switch is on pins 3 and 4, with red/yellow to the hot side and tan/lt blue on the switched side. Cruise switch is closed with the clutch engaged and open with the pedal down. The other 2 pins (5 and 6) are unused.
