Early 99 front brake rotors

I need to replace my front rotors. I got about 75,000 out of these so I guess I got along pretty good compared to some of the war stories I've read here. My pads still look good with lots of meat left

My problem is that the computer and the book at Advanced Auto Parts both have different item numbers for the same application,

We discovered this when I asked the parts guys to be sure he was pricing me an early 99, not a 99.5-2003 rotor.

Can someone provide me with the correct part number for the early 99 front rotor? (F250 SD 4WD, 8800 GVW, 4WABS)

Thanks!

Re: Early 99 front brake rotors

Contact your local Ford dealer for the correct Motorcraft rotor. The Motorcraft rotors are priced better than the blue box Ford rotors. Make sure you supply them with your VIN # so they can get you the right part. Early 99s are difficult to get the correct parts on. There was a lot of production changes. I would not chance a Advance auto parts rotor on my rig. Good luck.

Re: Early 99 front brake rotors

I got the correct ones for my early 99 at Orileys Auto parts. Wagner Lifetime guarrantee rotors and they have worked great for over 10k miles. Truck is now forsale...so not many more miles going onto it!

Wagner

Jim, Would you have the Wagner part number that I could use to order or cross to the correct rotor?

Thanks!

Re: Wagner

I swapped mine to later rotors when I went to later hubs. That will give you a better chance of finding a new one someday when you're on the road. Early 99 stuff is going to be harder to find.
